I Wanna Go Out- American Authors Review

This single has no apparent major instruments in it except fuzzy and poor quality drums and some type of keyboard. The vocals don't make much sense, and are very simple. The singer has an okay voice, but its just covered over in massive choruses that overuse tired indie pop conventions like lots of "hey-yas" and "na na nas''. Clearly, the song was only meant to be played on bad radio stations and on low quality speakers months after it disappears from its low spot on the Billboard Hot 100, if it makes it there. This song illustrates the disturbing trend in pop rock towards uplifting garbage with no basis in rock, which I hope will be corrected by excellent songs like Feel It Still. Hopefully this isn't a single for a new album, as that would only make the world worse.
