Walking The Wire Imagine Dragons Review

Image
Imagine Dragons have released their second promotional single for their upcoming third album, Evolve. The song is by far a better song than their previous singles, for a variety of important reasons. Mainly, it sounds like could actually be played live and sound pretty much the same, a big plus for band that actually uses real instruments. In addition, it furthers Imagine Dragons' arena rock sound, but seems a lot more chill. It is bass heavy, and keeps Dan Reynolds' voice to a non- synthesized "low". It doesn't have very complex lyrics, resorting to ooooh-oh-oh-ohs that don't deserve to be their own choruses, only as interjections such as on Believer by Imagine Dragons. In addition, it pairs peculiar humming and other synths with guitar, which doesn't match up. The guitars also sound a bit looped and possibly electronic, like their earlier hit "Jungle". All in all, thi...
