Holidays With Aerolynx Playlist

I decided to create a playlist of my favorite winter songs and some other good songs, so here it is:

I Know You- Craig David ft. Bastille Review

Honestly, I only listened to this song because Dan Smith was the guest vocalist on it, and I've never listened to Craig David ever. This is the third single from the UK R&B star's upcoming sixth(?) album, which is destined to dominate UK charts. The song has a very slick production quality to it, with dark hip hop drenched sub bass, keyboards, and doubletime hi-hat beats. The repeated electronic refrain of "I Know You" is well synthesized, unlike the auto tuned or intentionally synthesized beyond word(but not sound) recogmition pervading modern pop. The first verse by Craig David launches in to the duet chorus, which in turn breaks back down to the hook and then Dan Smith's excellent verse, which ties the whole "I Know You" theme together. The  Dan Smith line "Strangers start to look like friendly faces/ I'm a little unsteady on my feet" epitomizes the whole song, which is the communal feeling of after hours stumbling through the str

Turn- The Wombats Review

I first discovered them a couple weeks a go with lemon To A Knife Fight, and I've already listened to almost all their songs and am about to buy a ticket to their show. This second single for the upcoming Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life does not disappoint. The song has a much more natural feel than their previous very electronic, and it works pretty well. It's still pretty produced, but the simple riff is perfect for this song. The song seems like a pretty melancholy but beautiful take on a summer song, and I would say this could possibly be in at least the top five Wombats songs. It's just so well put together, with every part working together for its simultaneously down and up beat feel. If this and Lemon To Knife Fight are what Beautiful people will ruin your life is like, it'll probably be their best album yet. It should have less of the bewildering array of synths from This Modern Glitch and Glitterbug, but also the more experienced style they had. And i

Scary Love- The Neighbourhood Review

I know this song isn't technically new, but I'd only heard it from concert recordings once before and now they've finally released on officially, just like the excellent #000000&#FFFFFF mixtape. And as expected from the studio version, it's better than any concert recording on YouTube(concerts are only good if you're at them).  One thing that's worth noting is the red coloring- the first color The Neighbourhood have used besides black and white. The song starts with a peculiar more natural sounding synth found in September's Hard EP, then moves in to a mix of vocal style Jesse Rutherford does well but wasn't really found on his recent solo album(&)- staccato and semi-moaned(in a good way). The drums are no doubt from a machine, but aren't overly electronic. The chorus seems to float in mid air, held up by synthesized vocals and the occasional guitar strum. The bridge launches the song to The Killers like heights, making it perfect for almo
